Exotic Fruits!

It is Lilikoi season again!  Top 5 things to do with Lilikoi:

1.  Jam
2.  Bread
3.  Add to plain yogurt with honey
4.  Lilikoi Lemonade
5.  Add to vanilla ice cream

Oh and of course...just eat it!

Lychee season is over, but was a huge part of our Spring.

Lychee is so popular here with the locals.  You might recognize the name from Lychee liquors.  It is an unbelievably delicious and addictive fruit. You easily peel the skin off and eat it... look out for the pit in the center.  The texture is that of a grape...the taste is much sweeter.  Top 3 things to do with Lychee.

1.  Pop them in your mouth all day long.
2.  Lychee Martini
3.  Freeze them, then eat them frozen.  A refreshing treat!

Gotta love Mango season.

I don't think I need to make a list of what awesome things you can do with Mango.  But I will say that we can't get enough dried mango, Calder included.  The lucky little boy gets fresh mango for breakfast as well...

The Surinam Cherry is a unique and not so popular taste.  But I like it!

It is a South American cherry...shrub (more than tree).  It is really high in vitamin C.  Brazilians will use it for making wine... I haven't tried, yet.

To Come...

Star Fruit

and

Mountain Apple
